I was born and raised in San Diego. I started off my college career here at City College and eventually made my way to SDSU where I received my degree in Mathematics (with intention to teach). I followed up by attending the High Tech High Graduate School of Education where I received my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. I started my teaching career with High Tech High Chula Vista back in 2012. I came to SDUSD in 2020 to become a Math Resource Teacher, and got to work with math teachers across the district. I've been teaching at EVMCHS since 2024.

In my math classes, students engage in challenging math problems and develop their own mathematical knowledge by creating personally meaningful solutions. We do this through a highly collaborative work environment, where students discuss in both small groups and as a whole class. Students share ideas, critique and question each other, and explain and justify their thinking using their own mathematical reasoning.

In my free time I love golfing, watching movies, hanging with my animals (two cats and a dog), and much more!
