Kendra Madden

Kendra Madden earned her BA and MA at the University of London, King's College, focusing on literature. After living in the UK for six years, she returned to the States to pursue her teaching credential and has been an educator since.
Kendra started her teaching career at Morse High School in San Diego where she taught for eight years before learning of EVMCHS, where she applied to teach as soon as a position was open. She has been a member of the EVMCHS faculty since its second year as an English Teacher and AVID Coordinator.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at EVMCHS?
I recognize the high quality education EVMCHS students receive-- the opportunities and resources the school affords them-- but mostly I love the community, students and adults included. We are the village it takes!

When you're not being an amazing teacher, what are some hobbies you have outside of EVMCHS?
Outside of school, my life revolves around my dog, the gym, mystery and crime thrillers, and my weak attempts at gardening.
