East Village Middle College High School (EVMCHS) is a small non-traditional high school located on the campus of San Diego City College (SDCC). This school offers a rigorous and self-driven program centered around dual enrollment opportunities. These opportunities stem from the unique partnership between SDCC and EVMCHS through the Middle College National Consortium (MCNC), allowing students to take up to 11 weighted college credits each semester, including optional courses during summer.
Students have the opportunity to complete all their UC/CSU general education requirements while enrolled at this school. All courses are free of charge for students, making East Village the most accelerated and cost effective secondary school in the district. EVMCHS students regularly graduate with an excess of 40 college credits, and continue on to some of the best universities in the country.
