Hello,
My name is Richard McKinney, and it is an honor to join (EVMCHS). I look forward to supporting our staff, parents, and students. Well, a little about me. I was born and raised in San Diego County, and I have two adult children attending San Diego State and Point Loma Nazarene. A proud dad. I have been a school psychologist for 25 years and prior to working in the SDUSD I served in the clinical mental health field. I am a credential school psychologist and Licensed Educational Psychologist. As a school psychologist I value and support the emotional, social, and academic growth of all students while encouraging self-advocacy and self-sufficiency. Fostering independence is the fruit of our labor.
My personal interests include weekend getaways up the coast, watching a good football or baseball game, dining out, golfing, fishing, and long walks or hikes. In closing I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working with our students, staff, and families at EVMCHS.
